The Institute for Armenian Research was established in 2001 and its fields of activities include the Armenian Question, Armenian Diaspora, Armenian domestic and foreign policy, as well as the Karabagh Question. The Institute regularly publishes two quarterly journals in which these issues are studied in detail, namely Ermeni Araştırmaları (Armenian Studies) and Review of Armenian Studies. The issuesof these journals, which have been published up to date, have been shared through its website. Besides these journals, the Institute prepars a daily bulletin published on its website both in Turkish and in English. This daily bulletin includes news, collected daily from domestic and international news agencies and newspapers regarding the above-mentioned topics.

Furthermore, it also has an archive comprising of books, publications and documents in Turkish, Armenian, English, French, German and Russian on these issues. In addition, microfilms and microfiches of foreign archival documents pertaining to these issues can also be found at the Institute.

The Institute for Armenian Research organized two conferences (Turkish Congress on Armenian Studies) in Turkey. The first of these conferences was held in 2002, and the second in 2004.

A rich bibliography is also brought to the attention of researchers on the website of the Institute. It is also possible to find a list of publications with regard to the issues under the category of “New Publications” on the website.

The institute has been carrying out its activities within the scope of Center for Eurasian Studies (AVIM) for a while.
